Creation of Agrometius BVBA
Up to 2011, the Belgian market was served from the Netherlands. In order to be able to serve the Belgian market better, we decided to set up our own branch in Belgium. In November, we moved into our office in Landen (B) and Agrometius BVBA became a fact. In the same month, the first Flemish employees started work.

Veris dealership
After an interesting article in a journal, we sought contact with Veris, an American company that develops soil scan systems. We were immediately enthusiastic and decided to buy an MSP3 scanner. After the harvest, the soil scanner was tested extensively regarding the functioning and the reliability of the data. Here good results were achieved and the first customers were very satisfied.

Introduction of Veris soil advice service
To provide our customers with concrete advices & task maps on the basis of the Veris soil maps, we began a collaboration with Agrifirm Plant. In this way, the collective Veris soil advice service was born. As a result of this pooling of technology and knowledge, farmers can set to work in a very concrete way in order to optimize the soil of their plots.

Introduction of GeoSwitch
After questions from various machine manufacturers, we developed the GeoSwitch to control tools that Trimble does not support. The GeoSwitch translates the signal from the manufacturer to a signal that Trimble can handle. Meanwhile, many injectors, sprayers and fertilizer spreaders are equipped with a GeoSwitch for section control.

New dealerships
In order to be able to provide a total package regarding precision farming, we decided to expand the delivery package with weather & soil moisture stations of Pessl, OptiSurface 3D design software for GPS-levelling and the eBee Ag drone.

Reseller of the year 2014
Trimble annually organizes a Dealer meeting, whereby Agrometius has already been awarded prizes several times. For us, the Dealer meeting of 2014 was very special because we were named dealer of the year that year. We were indeed honoured to accept this reward and it has been given pride of place in the office in the Meern.

eBee Ag drone with multispectral camera
During the winter trade fairs, we had set up space at our stand for an eBee Ag drone. This high-tech system attracted a great deal of interest. Yet, we had not expected to sell an eBee Ag drone so quickly after the trade fairs. Construction company Thijssen made history and is the first construction company in the Netherlands that offers a service with a drone.
September 2015
Takeover by Royal Reesink NV
In the summer, Royal Reesink announced that it had bought the Agrometius shares from the then owner. This takeover has been received positively by both the staff and the customers. Meanwhile, our team has grown to more than 40 employees.
November 2016
Move of Agrometius BVBA to Sint-Truiden
In November, Agrometius BVBA moved into new premises in Sint-Truiden. The new location offers more office and warehouse space, as well as a workshop and training/course space. As a result, we can build systems in-house and we have better facilities for providing our customers with the necessary knowledge by means of training & courses.

Reseller of the year 2016
At the annual Dealer meeting of Trimble in 206, we were chosen as dealer of the year for the second time. Thanks to Trimble, Agrometius became famous for its extensive package of precision farming products and services.
January 2017
Move of Agrometius BV to the Meern
After extensive renovations, Agrometius BV moved into the premises in the Meern. The new location offers more office space and the warehouse is even four times larger. This has the advantage that more stock can be kept and the delivery times are considerably shorter. In addition, there is a workshop and extensive facilities for providing courses.
March 2017
Extension of work area
Thanks to the good reputation of Agrometius, Trimble offered the chance to expand with North-West Germany. We opened our third branch in Herzfeld and composed a team of German employees. Vantage Agrometius GmbH serves the federal states of Nordrhein-Westfalen, Niedersachsen and Schleswig-Holstein.
